I'll give you a very resourceful
link that it took me some time to find. It tells you where all the companies are in your area. I looked specifically for developers because I want to eventually become a Game Designer or start my own company. Once you find the companies in your area, find the games you like to play and work for those companies. Send in a resume and hope to get a call back. If you live in my area, I am well connected with this city but I will make some more friends in the industry soon.
