congrats - but are there any good activision games? i cant think of any at m

Call of Duty Series
Tony Hawk Series
Doom Series
Quake Series
Enemy Territory QUAKE Wars
Guitar Hero II
They've got some good titles, but they own lots of companies as well. I've got connections at several other companies but I think I will get the best training at Activision.

Tester?

Ya, QA tester. Depending on how well I do, I can move up quick. This is definitely what I want to do and I'm glad I'm finally on the path.

QA Tester? LOL

Yes...QA Tester. It's not like beta tester, you have to find bugs in the software, identify them, and correct the scripting You got to start somewhere.

I'll give you a very resourceful link that it took me some time to find. It tells you where all the companies are in your area. I looked specifically for developers because I want to eventually become a Game Designer or start my own company. Once you find the companies in your area, find the games you like to play and work for those companies. Send in a resume and hope to get a call back. If you live in my area, I am well connected with this city but I will make some more friends in the industry soon.

Just found out today there is good chance I could work on ET: Quake Wars in a week. If I don't get on the project then, I will more than likely get on it when it is a little further along.

I've been wanting to do the same myself... My friend works for lucas arts helping with their physics engine (if you haven't seen the video of the demo you need to youtube that shit). And three of my friends are programmers for capcom.
The thing is, my first "9-5" job was being a merchandiser for Dreyers grand ice cream and it still is my job after three years... Only reason why I haven't changed so far is because I'm still in college and I haven't found any other job thats flexible enough to go to school. That and my benefits are far better than all of my friends.. I have a set number of stores I do in a day and if I'm done early I go home... I clock in about 15-20 hours a week and get paid for 40 at $25 plus commission and mileage. so maybe once I'm done with college i'll see if I can jump into the industry but right now i'll stick with my ice cream
oh p.s. anyone in the bay area want free ice cream?

I'm constipated.... I couldn't give a shit.
