To answer your question... I had the Malachi account (97-00) . My first two chars were PKs, Lord Raven, and Lady Sailor Moon. (I later joined Malagents with Sailor Moon as a spy for like 6 months until Sir Met quit UO) Around the same time I started using Malachi more and more... in a guild with 4 RL friends (guild name was always flavor of the month name). RootDown was my first non RL friend in UO... we shared our first house together on Fire Isle back in early 98.
After that I quit for a while and came back in 2001 with Charm (the only bearded lady non NPC char in Baja history) Whistler (LJ) and Athena.
I owned you at Jhelom farms over and over again with Athena during the stun mage days. In fact, only two people could beat me on the regular during those times (Repressed Soul and Damascus) Snarf was actually pretty damn good too... but he was still 56k and always re-building chars then quitting again.
After that I went to Cats/Atlantic to find PvP.

Honestly, it's not a big deal to me if you remember my virtual characters from 5-9 years ago.
But just for kicks I'll throw a few facts and opinions at you.
-I split time between Baja/Pacific... and never cared about running with the biggest guild, just about hanging with my close friends.
-you never were an impact on the server until you got all the LoD hating failed miserably guilds and combined to make CoJ (how long did that last btw?)
-I was respected by the LoD members that (IMO) were worth being respected by... enough to get ICQs telling me when not to even try the numbers
-You were a whining little bitch, who got in LoD when they decided to mass recruit all of their ememys who met their current criteria (attention whores)
-I was a pre Noto patch beast
-Did you even play until t2a?
p.s. Again you were never quite as good as you thought you were. You & Kinky 2 v 1 me again k la?

coj lasted a long time. lod actually put them in their top 5 of biggest fights or whatever best guild to fight against.
and nobody remembers you but you were so good. step below? probably, but only you remember it which i find funny.

jacking ppls shit was fun. you know how pissed you were from getting jacked everytime you die. its also good because when you kill someone in a big battle it takes them outa the fight for a little bit because they have to go get supplies to fight. i dont like how games have gotten away from allowing looting. SWG and WoW both sucked for that reason. why do i want to fight anyone if i dont get anything? i mean in uo, if you were good enough at pvp you didnt have to buy regs as often because you could just use the ones you looted. and what about the one noob you always find somewhere with 100-200 of each, how happy were you when you found that on his dead body? it was definatley more of an accomplished feeling than killing someone in WoW

i agree, it makes it more fun (and realistic i suppose) when dying in a game poses has a big consequence..like losing all your shit and goin in to stat loss for 15 mins or however long it was. idk how everyone else feels, but i always felt making money in UO was the most boring ass thing you could do in the game.

nope, i'd rather get peoples shit than wtfpwn them. usually when i got peoples shit it was cos i jacked it, or killed them and looted it. which means i'm better than them and get to laugh my way to the bank. that's part of the risk and reward, without it, there's nothing to fight for and games become boring or uninteresting in a short period of time.
sure, straight up owning people is fun and fulfilling..but for me it was less of a dick size contest as it was me doing something that someone else couldn't prevent, and do even less about it.
