Yea I feel the same way, which is the reason why i'm just going to wait for a new type of mmo to come out.
Because Wow is so popular, companies wont want to make games like uo?
^ I call bullshit. I use to post on different wow server forums talking about UO and no one had any idea of what uo even was... nor did they know about AC, and some had not even heard of SB.
This leads me to believe that atleast 70% of the wow population (6 million ?) are first time MMORPG players. Had these same players played a game like UO, i bet most would find wow quite boring.
But they dont because they were never exposed to the greatness of UO. But one thing I will thank WoW for was bringing MMORPGS mainstream, they passed the one million subscribers, and even had an episode on southpark about em.
You can sure as hell bet that companies are coming up with different types of MMOs to appeal to the surging crowd of players.
