how can you make sarcastic remarks on the internet and have people take them sarcastically, unless you somehow denote it, which you did not?
You ask for proof on personal attacks, and garion delivers about 5 quotes calling you on it.
In an educated debate, Stretch, you weigh the evidence and facts, and don't resort to name calling or twisting the conversation in your favor. Maybe I didn't read the board guidelines on having a political debate on the LoD forum, but I am sure they are no different than anywhere else.
If you want people to listen to your political opinions you might want to change your strategy.

I wouldn't be suprised if specific quotes are cherry picked to demonize the whole thing. I think any of us would need to read it to establish a non pre fed opinion.
From what I understand it blame Palistinians, Jews & the USA. It all depends on who gets what ratio of the blame and for what.
I suspect a Palistinian group could cherry pick and present the same outrage on their chosen quotes as well.

You would back peddle too if 14 people from your advisory board jumped off your ship.

But I still maintain that to have an opinion about a book, one should read it. I have not read this book, thus I have no opinion.
I will not allow a left leaning or right leaning news organization to determine my opinion. Nor will I allow a number of people who have a specific position provide me with an opinion. I will not allow the easter bunny to come give me an opinion, nor the tooth fairy. If I want to have an opinion about this book which I can stand behind and know that I am not a proxy for someone elses viewpoint (did they read it even?), then I will read it.
Am I old fashioned? I make my own opinion, I don't rely on Dancing with the Stars, nor even American Idol, nor CNN, nor Fox to determine what I think. I must be obsolete.

I have read the book, or I should say I ipod?ed the book and listened to it as I traveled. My opinion is that Jimmy Carter is playing revisionist history with his foggy account of history. If I had the time I would lay it all out to show anyone that would like to read about it, but I don?t have the time. Just get the book, read it and draw your own conclusion. But only if you like history, due to the fact that this book is dryer than a popcorn fart.

Glad to see someone read it and then emitted an opinion! I have no interest in the book. If it doesn't have pics of tits & clits, is it worth reading? I personally say a big old NO!
