His job is not to decide which wars to goto, his job is to follow the chain of command, period.
He should have not signed up then and accepted paychecks without having the intention of following through with his end of the agreement.
He needs to wind up in the hole with the ones who tried to claim political asylum in Canada (they said "wtf...eh?" and sent them back over the border to face the music).
