Not sure if any one played the original Savage game, but its a FPS+RTS Game.
The "Commander" controls building construction, items upgrades, and such while the rest of the players are in a FPS view attacking, harvesting resources, and assisting building creation.
Units would level up as you play like in warcraft 3 and reset every round.
The last one was pretty fun, so this new one should be even better.

Try this game out Bal, 99% sure youll like it. The first one was fucking fun as hell playing the demo/beta but the retail version was absolute shit cause one race was overpowered.
Its a sweet blend of fps and RTS.

I agree that the beta rocked. But I never bought the retail...
I'd consider trying number 2

haha don't have to harvest resources.... But what happens in warcraft 3 when you send 30 of your peons chopping on a forest. In just a few mins you have clear cut a huge portion and have lots of wood to build with. There is also computer control peons that you get that do the resource gathering automatically.
Then what happens when you tell 30 of your peons to help build a building... things zoom really really fast.
But, good luck trying to order people to do that though in game, most wont listen cause they have no team work skills.

okay I am a bit confused.. are we able to sign up for beta or do we need to pay in advance for a game that may or may not be worthwhile?

that game was fun as fuck and I look forward to Savage 2.
You harvest resources for like the first few minutes of the map then you help build shit in expansions if you just happen to be there. Big woop. I actually thought it was sort of fun mainly when other people attack when you're building and you stop for a second to chop their fucking neck with a hachet.. or attacking people while they're building and chop their fucking neck etc.... You fight 90%+ of the time...

Might be something for us to actually do while we sit in limbo.
