So now we finally get to what you really meant in your first post.
Calling the V hero a "facist" is a conclusion reached by Ivan, that I happened to expand upon (including a note that I haven't seen the movie yet). I have no idea how he reached that conclusion. The only thing I inferred was that the people in "V" were currently living under fascism.
Did you even read the definition of fascism? It seems like they do need to make the dictionary required reading. Fascism and "different belief systems" aren't necessarily mutually exclusive. You are correct in saying that the term is misused by a bunch of lazy "contemporaries" though:
