Maybe you just didnt play the game long enough, but i thought the story evolved into something very interesting.
Maybe isntead of playing the game for 20 minutes, then calling it quits on the story because you didnt understand absolutely everything from it, you might want to play it till the end. The game story turns out to be very interesting and ties lots of things together.
i wont even go into how great of a job they made the gun battles.
