but hell, why not.
i am seeking science based literature for an independant study, of the sort, for my english class. i propsoed the idea to my professor of negating all the books he listed to read and substitued my own idea, which is to write my papers on science influenced literature. literature being the keyword there... the stuff i read can't be straight scientific writings. i chose to do this since i am a science major and don't feel like dipping into the arts while i am in intense studies. too broad of an academic spectrum to focus on, for me.
examples of books needed (not science-fiction and not textbooks, theoretical is fine):
saving the appearances, e=mc^2, eucild in the rainforest, heisenberg probably slept here, deep down things, etc.
also looking for books that tie science and consciousness together as well (ie, a biref tour of higher consciousness, the dimensional structure of consciousness, the self-aware universe, quantum mind, the visionary window, etc)
if you have ANY suggestions pertaining to these ideas, please let me know.
i am mainly seeking science literature referencingg biology and chemistry, but physics and math literatures are also wanted.
word.
