about 6 months ago, officially. my first products came in about 3 months ago, and i'm only about 1/7 of the way to breaking even. i don't have much products right now and i haven't even tried to get my stuff in some local retailers, cus i'm a fulltime science student (which means i'm pretty busy academically). all of my sales have been to my friends and friends of their friends, etc.
