I was on the server last night, and I saw your comments - something about "farming team work points" or what not. Its true, thats what we were doing; we were using a strategy that kicked major ass, and we knew that as a clan, we can count on each other to repair/equip/heal all the members in the chopper as necessary, because everyone has an assigned role.
We use Ventrilo ( which is like Team speak) so that we are in constant communication with the pilot who knows where to turn, where not to go, etc.
When we have someone who wants a fair share at a gunning position, well... it just fucks EVERYTHING up because now we have a loose cannon doing pretty much anything he wants and not knowing what is going on. That puts everyone on the chopper at risk.
So... rather than putting everyone at risk, it was a calculated move on our part to strategically eliminate any factors that could lead to our early demise. Unfortunately, you were a casualty of that. Sorry that you had a shitty experience, but when we consider the factor of clan members who have known each other for years having a good time, versus your wants (a new guy we dont know) to have a shot at the gunner seat - the decsion is pretty easy for us.
If you do make enough money to start your own server, I dont understand why you just dont start your own? Using your "kid w/ the ball" example, everyone tolerated the kid, because they couldnt get their own ball.... you obviously can.... so why not?

Thank you Tenshi, that's the first semi-rational response I've seen on this thread. I'd like to address some of the points you made.
I was on the server last night, and I saw your comments - something about "farming team work points" or what not. Its true, thats what we were doing; we were using a strategy that kicked major ass
This, I don't have a problem with. On certain maps I'll pair with a friend of mine on TS in a gunship helo, I drive and he's in the gunner seat, and we'll do very much the same thing that you guys did.
The differences are:
1. I don't use my admin priveleges to prolong the situation to the detriment of the other team. I can live with 3-and-out on a losing side, but when you guys switched it back to the same map for 3 more rounds of it, that's just not enjoyable for the other team (even if I'm the only one who speaks up). I don't doubt that the points/ranking system is what causes this, before BF2 the only motivation would have been a local stats server, and there's hardly any glory in that.
2. I don't kill teammates to preserve a tactical advantage. I don't shoot them out of vehicles that I want and I don't shoot them while they're waiting to take a ride in a vehicle with plenty of seats.
Now granted, OK your strat involves 6 guys and the Blackhawk has 6 seats, I only came US after 6 rounds of being utterly destroyed as MEC. I did some heli-capping on a couple of rounds but the Blackhawk's door guns are far superior to the MEC helo on that map. So it's a losing battle for me and the rest of the team.
Seriously, 3 rounds and it's over, I can deal with. It's switching the map back for 3 more rounds of it that is the big issue here. The ideal admin kicks disruptive or cheating players, using admin priveleges to enhance your score in a ranked system just isn't necessary, especially in a game like this one. The points will come, the chief factor is play time and wins, and with some talent you'll get that anyway. Abusing admin priveleges to speed this process will only get you more posts like mine (and the other two at the top, with more to come I'm sure).
When we have someone who wants a fair share at a gunning position, well... it just fucks EVERYTHING up because now we have a loose cannon doing pretty much anything he wants and not knowing what is going on. That puts everyone on the chopper at risk.
What do you have to fear on this map, that I could take out with one of the guns but choose not to do so? The only AA batteries are at either spawn, I can't dent a tank and with 2-3 engies in the back you have nothing to fear from the mounted guns on trucks. This point has very little merit, you would have done better to say "we have a 6 man squad and a 6 man vehicle and a 6 man strat, there's no room for you".
Sorry that you had a shitty experience, but when we consider the factor of clan members who have known each other for years having a good time, versus your wants (a new guy we dont know) to have a shot at the gunner seat - the decsion is pretty easy for us.
The shitty experience didn't start in round 6 when I was on US, it started in round 4 when I was on MEC. Some maps have a good strat with coordination, I accept that as part of life on pubs. But to prolong the suffering of the other team for an extra 3 rounds just because you can is bullshit. You guys don't want competition, you want to farm points so your little forum signature images can go up a point or two. I've practiced Counter-Strike clan strats against the average pub crowd with the clan behind me, they work and they work well. But I never intentionally put the other team at a disadvantage and kept them there longer than usual just because I could.
If you do make enough money to start your own server, I dont understand why you just dont start your own? Using your "kid w/ the ball" example, everyone tolerated the kid, because they couldnt get their own ball.... you obviously can.... so why not?
I'm the only BF2 playing member of -zF- that I know of, I put in about an hour a day and to be quite honest, if I can enjoy the game 90% of the time and put up with idiots the other 10% for free, then that makes more sense financially than footing the entire bill for a rented server just so I can have admin priveleges. Most people out there play politely and respectfully, sure you gotta work for vehicles sometimes but most of the time they don't kill you for them, and with smart play you can keep them running, or get back to them before they respawn.
The $180 a month that gets sunk here is gone, regardless of how you run the server. Kick the people who you see consistently doing stupid things, or intentionally disrupting the game for others, and you'll do the players here (LoD's and all others) a service as an admin. But if you keep abusing admin priveleges and the "fuck you it's our server we do what we want" mentality persists, you're ruining the play experience for the other team and everyone on your team that gets in your way, and for what? A few extra points in the ranking system that you'll earn eventually anyway?
You guys would do well to change your attitudes or password these boards, because without doing one of those two things, I can only guarantee you that posts like this one will keep coming in from other people with 10 minutes of free time on their hands and a shitty server experience to gripe about.
