Asus A8V-Deluxe Socket 939, dual channel memory capability, and 1gig hyper transport FSB.(socket 939 is definitely the way to go, it's the future of AMD 64)
1 Gig of Corsair XMS high speed memory, 3200 dual channel.
1 80 gig Raptor SATA 10,000 RPM Hard Drive
Regular DVD-Read, CD-R CD-RW burner combo drive.
Geforce 6800 GT w/256 ddr 3 memory.
Audigy 2 ZS.
Cooler Master Centurion Case with 350 watt power supply.
All of this cost me 1500.00, I bought all my parts through newegg, and everything arrived in 2 days and everything worked flawlessly.

I'd say drop 1 GB of ram, you'll probably never use even a gig no matter what you're doing. I'd say take the extra 100.00 and put it towards a better video card.
I'd consider getting one HD, just bigger probably cheaper.
I personally went with all high quality parts, you get what you pay for, but for the most part, your system looks good, for 1200.00. You'll probably end up upgrading your video card before anything else. Since your mobo is socket 939, you'll be able to upgrade your Proc, so your system can last a long time, depending on when you want to jump to PCI Express and DDR2 when it's more main stream.

some thing I'd change is the video card.. 9800 XT is sorta pointless, save some money and go with a 9800 PRO if money is an issue, if it isnt then go for a new gen video card like the x800..
Id drop the 1gb of RAM, because no system is going to use that much RAM right now AND the price of RAM is only gunna drop, so you will pay less to buy it later..
I'd also scrap the idea of 2 h/d's, thats just asking for excess power waste and thrashing between the drives, pointless if you ask me, especially building from scratch when you can get one 160 for prolly cheaper then both of those 80's..
Everything else looks good.. Should last you a few years for sure

I will prolly end up changeing the video card. But as of right now im going to try it out and see how things are. The place im getting it from will warrenty it for 2 years. So any changes I do is on them. Also i did think about droping one gig ram also.. The thought of it being cheaper later was also taken into consideration but it came with the system so why not... O and torak I have your case! just thought i might let ya know =-)

I love that damn case, I spent at least an hour looking for the best case at Fry's, I like how it's tool-less, no screws at all, it's nice. I got the blue one, which one did you grab?

Make sure you overclock that GT to Ultra specs. Coolbits is your friend.
I've been running my GT 100% stable at slightly above ultra specs for maybe 2 months now. Easy way to get a bit more performance for no additional cost. <img src="/~stretch/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

A good way to void your warranty and shorten the life of the hardware for a few measley fps more in your game, I guess it's a choice you make. 6800 GT is fast enough as it is, no need to OC, well at least not yet, for me at least.

I got the Sonic blue one (really dark blue) I just love how this case is really simple and its sooo light. When i first got the case in, I thought i was missing some things but... nothing was gone. Really good case love it. I didn't get all the nifty neon lights and stuff though... don't need that stuff cause it wont serve a purpose for me at all. Just some extra eye candy for more money. Lod got a HL2 dm server? or source?
