The President cannot overturn Roe v Wade directly. The Supreme Court can. There are justices on the bench who will not, under any circumstances, allow that to happen.
However, the President picks from a list of three candidates given by the JBC. Judicial and Bar Council. So...He can't go off and pick some moonshine swilling yahoo from Alabama. Unless he is nominated. And from that list other judges have to support the nominees. It's not required, but it's not wise to piss off the Supreme Court even if your the President. Credibility. You may think "well...hell, Finny is just a shitbag who knows about as much about politics as he does about fornicating". Damn straight. More Joy of Sex with Finn. However, since Republicans control both the House and the Senate...don't look for an impeachment anytime soon, boys and girls, even if he does push for overturning the ruling and all sorts of other groovy things that pisses off left-wingers. They are firmly in power. The Supreme Court is the last bastion, it seems. Which goes back up to the first paragraph. Reread it, I'll wait.
It's like when you elect a new congressman, and you get pissed because he didn't push for that bill you want or even offer it to Congress. No credibility. He's just a freshman.
Common Democrats and Liberals (with few exceptions that I've dated because those feminazi liberal girls are freaks behind closed doors. I got scars for Chrissakes) don't realize how much credibility means in Washington. That is another reason why Kerry lost. His credibilty was shot to hell when he said "war criminals". Remember? You may say "well...so was Bush's and moonshine swilling yahoos voted for him". That's because Bush's credibility was shot just a teeeeeny bit less. Maybe just to heck. If ya'll on the left would've go a tad easier on the slander and attacks...Might've won. Focused more on mud slinging than real politik.

IF Roe v Wade is overturned...I can guarantee it will be because that is what the majority of Americans want. That's what a Democracy is. Majority rule. There are laws to protect the minority, but not what you think. There are laws to protect, say, a law being passed that makes all middle class people the slaves of the rich. I mean real slavery, indentured service, etc.
REMEMBER: MAJORITY RULE. It may not be what YOU want, but it's what THE COUNTRY wants. But at least your free to rant and scream and piss on flags and spit on soldiers because you think America sucks mucho ass.
And finally...I support abortion. I support partial birth abortion. If there is something sucking life out of you not entirely unlike cancer, then by all means kill the bitch. Suck it out. Eat it, hell, I don't care. It's none of my goddamn business.
(I was reading one of the liberal newsletters I subscribe to, so I apologize for jumping from idea to idea. The main point of the thing was impeachment and minority rights and the word "trampling". Pretty hilarious.)
