I stumbled on some funny shit, atleast funny to me.
These arent my words.
Sen. John Kerry keeps talking about U. S. corporations leaving this country and setting up shop in foreign countries, taking thousands of jobs with them
He is right, this is happening. But it isnt bush's fault.. this has been going on for quite some time.
Im a firm beleiver in practice what you preech.
I wonder how many hundreds of American workers lost their jobs when these plants relocated in foreign countries? I also wonder if the workers in Mexico and Asia are paid the same wages and benefits as workers in the United States.
Of course they're not. However, Kerry demands that other companies that relocate should pay the same benefits they did in the U. S. Why does he not demand this of the Heinz Company, since he is married to Terressa "Hienz" Kerry
According to the Wall Street Journal, the Kerrys own 32 factories in Europe and 18 in Asia and the Pacific. In addition, their company, the Heinz Company, leases four factories in Europe and four in Asia. Also, they own 27 factories in North America, some of which are in Mexico and the Caribbean.
Now I know if kerry is elected they arent goint to bring back the hienz empire of factorys to the U.S., theyre making too much money where they are. I just find it funny that hes married to a woman worth billions who has tons of hienz factorys outside the U.S..

She isn't worth billions, and I don't believe she owns them. Hell I don't think she is even on the board of directors. Its funny because look at the spin there.

According to Kerry's financial disclosure report filed last May, Heinz Kerry owns more than $4 million worth of company stock. Heinz Kerry sold more than $14.8 million worth of Heinz stock in 2002 - USA Today
Ok she used to own more money in stock in 2002 and she also inherited 500 million from her inheritance. Did she sell her overseas stock??
Quote:
The multibillion-dollar Heinz Co. has about 38,900 workers worldwide, with 30 percent located in 27 factories scattered across 17 states. The other 70 percent work in facilities overseas.
About 60 percent of the company's sales are outside America, and the products sold in other countries are often made and marketed locally and in some cases are unique to that region. Tomatoes for ketchup sold in the United States are grown largely in the regions surrounding the major processing plants in Ohio, Iowa and California.
Besides its name brands, Heinz also makes and markets OreIda potatoes, Smart Ones frozen foods and Classico sauces. The company has 50 affiliates operating in 200 countries

I have yet to see how many franchises she owns.

being someone who employed illegal mexicans ( 20 or so ) because americans didn't have enough of a work ethic to come to work every day, i can tell you that the mexicans are EXTREMELY labor organized. By no means is anyone taking advantage of these people. they aren't stupid or hard up for work. If one goes they all go. they are like a union and they will only work for a reasonable compensation. Sure i can pay em $7 compared to 8$ but i don't pay tax on that money or worker's comp. the difference is, if one gets hurt, there are 4 to take his place.
not debating what is stated here as not being your words but.. if anyoen says that mexicans are slave labor, they are dead wrong.
