Strech, Strech, Strech....*sigh*. There's no use telling him anything other than what some liberal idiot told him during his impressionable days that some other liberal douche told that liberal idiot. However...
Japan attacked and nearly destroyed Pearl Harbor. We, in turn, declared war on Japan. However, Japan, Italy and Germany were allied. And when someone attacks your ally, you attack 'em back. Same thing happen 30 years prior, when the Balkans were called the "powder keg" of Europe.
Korea. Cold War era. National thought at that time was anything Communist-related was a step toward our destruction and should be stopped at all costs. Same deal with Vietnam. It was national belief at the time that Communism was subjugating the world and had to be stopped by someone. So the USA volunteered.
Comparing the number of deaths from tit to tat is a Communist thing. Stalin said it, whole deaths and statistics and tragedy. Strech would know, marxist pig.
However, those kids that died in Iraq and Afganistan died fighting for America. They may have also been fighting for a free college education, or the cash or benefits...But it takes a bit of patriotism to do it in the first place. You can get out of the Armed Forces easier than you think. They will Section 8 you if you want one.
But personally, I believe we're doing the right thing over there. Protecting our interests, our asses, and liberating a country or two while we're at it. That's the reason people like Strech rant and rail. Apparantly, they aren't into protecting our interests or asses.
In closing, because I've been awake for coming up on 48 hours now, don't ask people like Strech for their opinion more than three times. Past that, and you will start to hate them, and wish they would move to Nigeria.
