There is so much evidence proving the lies of these men. I will point you to two key websites that have done a lot of work to uncover the true story behind the swift boat vets for truth.
First Media Matters.
This article shows that 22 of 24 newspaper editorial sections say that the swiftboat claims have no merit. If you have time there is a lot of good stuff in there about specific lies.

So this is a long article and has a lot of stuff. I picked out a few things that were interesting to note.
The ads have a tendency to stretch the truth. Move-On, one of these 527 groups, ran an ad attacking the Bush administration for cutting education funding and veterans? benefits. Based on President Bush?s latest budget, both education spending and the Veterans Affairs budget would increase by more than 35 percent
It seems some people think this is true

Some stuff on vets as well http://www.washingtonpost.com/ac2/wp-dyn/A4064-2003Jan16
Interesting about the negative ad thing. Kerry pulled an ad that included Mccain at his request.

He also asked moveon to pull a negative ad

Strangely Bush hasn't pulled any ads.

I tossed mine up in about three minutes. What I asked was specific. Where are the lies regarding John Kerry exactly. NOt what was the moral equivalent response. I never said Bush was a Saint. I am saying the I and it seems most of America can't figure out who John Kerry is exactly.
I'll read you articles later and post responses to each.

"President Bush is the first President in 70 years -- since Herbert Hoover -- to lose jobs. There are 2.3 million fewer jobs in the United States today than there were when Bush became President. President Bush says things are getting better, but in December 2003 all of 1,000 new jobs were created. At that rate it would take 2,300 months (199 years) to recover the jobs lost since Bush moved into the White House. "
1.6 million jobs in the past twelve months. 144000 last month alone. Most Americans understand the devistation caused by 9-11 on our economy. The case could be argued that it is because of swift action the damage isn't worse. In fact unemployemtn today is lower than it was when Clinton was being re-elected in 1996 and claiming how strong the economy was.
"High unemployment and shrinking incomes are clear evidence that Bush's only prescription for the economy -- tax cuts -- is a failure. That's because more than half of the tax cuts go to the wealthiest 1% of Americans, those who earn more than $337,000 a year. The 2003 Bush tax plan gave millionaires an average tax cut of $93,000. But Bush skimped on tax relief for those who need it the most. More than half (53%) of all taxpayers got less than $100 and one-in-three (31%) got nothing at all. "
One in three do not pay any income taxes. Naturally the people who pay more taxes got more relief. As to unemployment claim see above...
"Health care spending soared by 9% last year, the fastest increase since 1991. Families are paying more for shrinking coverage, while businesses and government are burdened with high health care costs. There are 44 million Americans who do not have any health coverage, four million more than when Bush became President"
Health care costs will not go down until there is meaningful tort reform. Unfortunately the Democrats answer to Tort reform is to nominate two Lawyers one of which got his wealth by suing doctors and hospitals there by directly impacting the cost of heathcare.
The rest of the stuff in that link was propaganda... Not worth responding to.

Other than the statement that Kerry pulls ads. Bush has asked that all of these ads be pulled. He has been consistant. Kerry only tried stopping the National Guard ad because he knows he is losing on that issue and wants to change the subject. The Va article was a no brainer. If people can pay for their own healthcare costs they shold. Although it said at the end that Bush was going to propose more funding to handle the increased costs of the VA.
