"President Bush is the first President in 70 years -- since Herbert Hoover -- to lose jobs. There are 2.3 million fewer jobs in the United States today than there were when Bush became President. President Bush says things are getting better, but in December 2003 all of 1,000 new jobs were created. At that rate it would take 2,300 months (199 years) to recover the jobs lost since Bush moved into the White House. "
1.6 million jobs in the past twelve months. 144000 last month alone. Most Americans understand the devistation caused by 9-11 on our economy. The case could be argued that it is because of swift action the damage isn't worse. In fact unemployemtn today is lower than it was when Clinton was being re-elected in 1996 and claiming how strong the economy was.
"High unemployment and shrinking incomes are clear evidence that Bush's only prescription for the economy -- tax cuts -- is a failure. That's because more than half of the tax cuts go to the wealthiest 1% of Americans, those who earn more than $337,000 a year. The 2003 Bush tax plan gave millionaires an average tax cut of $93,000. But Bush skimped on tax relief for those who need it the most. More than half (53%) of all taxpayers got less than $100 and one-in-three (31%) got nothing at all. "
One in three do not pay any income taxes. Naturally the people who pay more taxes got more relief. As to unemployment claim see above...
"Health care spending soared by 9% last year, the fastest increase since 1991. Families are paying more for shrinking coverage, while businesses and government are burdened with high health care costs. There are 44 million Americans who do not have any health coverage, four million more than when Bush became President"
Health care costs will not go down until there is meaningful tort reform. Unfortunately the Democrats answer to Tort reform is to nominate two Lawyers one of which got his wealth by suing doctors and hospitals there by directly impacting the cost of heathcare.
The rest of the stuff in that link was propaganda... Not worth responding to.
