Shutting the door to the street in front of you full of criminals and druggies so your safe inside does what sir ?

BTW , I fucked up alittle on the post , I meant if your closed the border completely. But still , what the heck do Canadians and Mexicans have to do with bombings and terrorists? If anything you'ed want to control the airplanes and flight immigrantion.
Yes someone can come from Canada and Mexico to attack the US , but the rewards for an open border far outway the chance you MIGHT stop an attack.

One thing to keep in mind when posting about terrorist attacks that kill people, is that it is a new phenomenon to your country. Albiet a spectacular, flashy act of vandalism by total assholes. But bear in mind that nightclub bombings, train bombings, plane bombings, plane highjacking etc... has gone on elsewhere in the world for over 30 years.
It has happened enough elsewhere, Germany, England, Ireland, Canada, France, Japan etc... that people don't suddenly make the site of a terrorist attack into "hallowed ground" and build shrines and spires to commemorate the dead. Don't get me wrong, I think that the thought and memory is a great gesture. But this is not a new phenomenon, this kind of mindless killing has gone on elsewhere for decades.
When people are understanding of what has happened, but do not totally wig out, and know the exact total of the dead and turn the event into some kind of religious experience, it is nothing against you or bush or the US. It's a baptism of fire into the ranks of countries who have suffered from terrorism.
On that same note: why not look at countries who have dealt with terrorism for 30+ years to understand how to deal with it? They're not all scared, they're not huddling in basements ordering "saferoom 1000" from "don't kill me darky enterprises". After 30 years, they may know something about the subject.

So knowing say....the estimated death toll of troops killed in WW2 is something idiotic, since wars have been going on for thousands of years. Who cares, it's just another fucking war!
Calling people morons for mourning the death of the 9/11 tragedy is completely chidish. I guarentee the people in Ireland, England, Russia, and so forth mourn the fuck out of people dieing in their countries because of terror attacks. But fuck, they are complete idiotic tools for doing that, and its a baptism of fire in the hearts of other countries.....
Rethink before posting argueless self opinions about the massacre of thousands of people, and how they shouldn't be mourned, since you redeem that "selfish."

You and mujahadeen make it look like we're all hiding under our beds cuz we're too scared to walk outside, it's not fucking like that so give me a fucking break. I don't mind having extra security when traveling and when letting ppl into our country, I don't have anything to hide so search my bag, read my email, listen to my calls, anyway we all still live our lives, but adding measure to make it "harder" for terrorists to function is at least a kink in the cord, which is better than nothing. So please stop making references to everyone hiding and giving up civil rights and liberties, we haven't given up shit and we still ive in the freeest country in the world, good night.

Actually I think Denmark has the most freedoms of any country. If a person wants pure out freedom to do as they please, that is the place.
Before ya jump my shit and say "never never never..noway.. .ever ... nowhere else has as much freedom" etc.... make sure you've been to enough countries to back up the claim.
Sorry to come across as though I think everyone is freaking out and scared. That is due to the media doing it's job (getting ratings at the expense of all of us). They paint the whole nation that way. Turn on the news and they're always making it out that way (liberal & conservative media). And since so many of our opinions are based on what we get from the media here, I just thought we'ld continue the trend. We'll need to draw up a list of what is acceptable and not acceptable "information" from the media. I didn't realize I was pulling from the "red" list there.
The only problem I see is the intent of the terrorists to bankrupt the country. So much has been spent on so much from future taxes and revenues that they see an angle to attack.
Before ya say "we can never go bankrupt", I agree that it is improbable, but yet not impossible. The USSR basically went bankrupt and that was end of the cold war. Fortunately the US is not nearly as vulnerable. If you can get over the "we don't need anyone" and "we hate the UN" and "fuck the UN" thing and get back to where the US was in international standing pre-2000 then the terrorists will definitely lose, and quickly.

No-one called anyone a moron for anything.
I am just saying that other countries have been down the terrorism road for decades. Perhaps look to them for ideas on how to deal with the subject as a society, and a nation.
Don't think I look down on anyone for suffering a loss and remembering. Don't ever read that into my words, that is not my intent. If I came across that way, my apologies, if you misinterpretted what I said, then whatever.
Fuck this whole thread and subject, too many pissy people who can't discuss things without wigging out and misinterpretting for their own political angle (can't wait for Nov. 2 to be over with, so people can stop being such ... whatevers).

I must have took it out of context. Both parties are so extremely faulty in so many ways, it's pretty much choosing the lighter of two evils.

Fuck it, I'm done discussing anything like this with folks on this board. Not worth my time and/or effort. It's like trying to descibe the color blue to a person who was born blind, they just can't see it.

So, have you played doom 3 yet? I haven't, too busy, but I want to check it out. Not sure if my comp will run it though. Have you tried wow yet? It looks very cartoony, curious how the gameplay is. Can ya PK in it? I heard it was "doest thou wish to fight" [click yes/no], which is kinda weak.
