I own multiple businesses as well as an online data backup company. I also have lots of odd little money makers, eBay shit like that, money is good and I'm proud to pay my taxes. I'm proud to support the police and firefighters who risk never seeing their kids again to save my ass, I could make a whole speech but you get the picture.
As you stated, you have to work 50hrs a week to make ends meet. This usually means 1 thing. You are not very good with money, and/or have a huge credit deficit.
Even, as I started out, 2 people only making about 24k a year can live just fine. People who live in the US should never have an excuse to be poor, unless some great unforeseeable disaster makes it so; however it is usually just their laziness.
