Most martial artists will tell you that the best upclose combat is straight out wrestling. Once a good wrestler gets you down to the ground, your fucked, and most good wrestlers wont have a problem getting you on the floor. (Not that highschool wrestling bullshit, but wrestling more indepth with actual martial arts)
