This is usually tenshi's department but oh well. and some people wanted other topics so walla! thought it was cool, i cheated for the answer cause i cheat
There is a common English word that is nine letters long. Each time you remove a letter from it, it still remains an English word - from nine letters right down to a single letter. What is the original word, and what are the words that it becomes after removing one letter at a time?

if a word has a constanant, it's already eliminated (example: A is a word, I is a word, C is not a word). So, to eliminate all but 1 letter, which from the riddle I gather you do that for each letter. Considering that, it's not possible for the word to have anything but vowels. Don't know many (any?) 9 letter words that consist purely of vowels.
Someone prove me wrong , I'd like to know the answer.

the last letter remaing would be a vowel, not every letter removed "must be a word".
