holy shit, I don't know if that's true or not. But then again muslims had their own problems with the ottoman empire so they were busy with others. US barely was on the Islamics' radar at the time I bet.
We didn't become on their radar until 40 some years later right???
Probably around the same time ww2 ended the ottoman empire and helped create a SECULAR turkey (which uneducated religious zealots of any kind would hate), and a JEwish state (I.E. Israel).
Granted it was Britain's idea to have the Jewish state first and they implemented it since they saw over that region after WW2. Many different reasons come up to why we gave Jews that particular land (security for the suez canal, or maybe romantics figures let's give them land they were driven from a long time ago).
Granted, no way is the perfect way. I can see why Muslims became upset with Britain first then us...BEcause it would be like someone telling America to give land indians were on first back to them. And well I like indians and all just as long as they aren't on my acquired property
