To the liberal press every war is Vietnam, or in the predictions made for Baghdad, Stalingrad.
And if events don't turn out as bad as they hope, they do their best to put a bad light on it. If it's not Vietnam, they will do their best to make it Vietnam.
We conquered an entire country and have held it under our grasp for over a year, all with about 800 deaths.
Put that into perspective. On D-Day alone, we lost something like 6,000 people.
This war has been a victory pretty much unprecedented in human history. But you won't hear that on CNN or ABC.

Either you are playing the game of deliberate mis-interpretation, or I was not too clear on my analogy, or you are not the bright.

Our soldiers on D-Day were fighting the same fight our soldiers are fighting today. It's Democracy vs Totalitarianism. It's the same fight we've been in for the last 100 years.
Whether that fight is against Hitler or Saddam doesn't matter. They both needed to go.
But you won't get any historical perspective from the liberal media. All you'll get is the sensationalism of a car bomb. They'll report every major, minor, and imagined setback while nearly never reporting on the successes.

Hilter was born of his own people, was not PUT in place by the Brittish and US forces in the 80's, supplied by US forces with Chemical and Bio weapons and told to fight Iran. Hilter was a man who rose to power within Austria and Germany and then attacked other nations as part of his plan. Many nations, with a clear agenda to dispose of one race. Sadam just had power, and wanted to keep it. Contra scandal remember what that was ?
This fight is not even a nation vs a nation .. D-Day was the world divided into sides fighting. This is one Nation invading 2 nations for the sole purpose of protecting at best ITSELF, and at worst its own power interests.

Sure the 1000's of iraqis that have died for your cause will agree with you on that. O and for the probably next 50 years of instablility also, just so the WORLD can be a safer place. I am sure the people in South America feel all nice and safe since Sadam is gone, he woulda taken out the people of Brazil right after the US, Russia, Brittian and the 20 or so other countries he knew could kick his countries ass after 10 years of sanctions and a war from the previous Bush that emlinated his army to a token shell of iteself. WOW what a threat. Now if you say he was a threat since HE could MAY have been able to lanuch bio and chem weapons then you have about 30 more countries in the same boat, and now probably a 1000 more cells world wide that can and want to do it. And before anybody just says "hell yes I would have" you need to put it into perspective: those bombs killed thousands of people, civilians mind you, in one stroke. That is a lot of weight to carry.
