In my latest re-mix I have put the goth mix before the melody. The way you wrote your post you have got it wrong.
I already moved some of the tunes around adding the melody, with some slight heavy metal in the mix. Will probably upload it today.

I think anyone could fix music with euipment yes, but you need 3 things. 1] time to get to know how to use the hardware and software 2] good record and cd collection 3] the desire to do it. I am somewhat deaf ... fuck me but I am so I just listen to the shit, I don't make it. But its like playing a piano or a guitar. If you want to you can.
PS Have not listened to the music yet so I have no comment on it. When I do , I'll keep the comments to myself anyways since I am confused as to what music I like
