Don't get wireless unless you're really going to use/need it. The new frequencies are alot better for bandwidth than they were, but still not infallible.
Security is another issue. WEP encryption doesn't get the job done. You'd have to have your router locked down to MAC address authentication at the very least. If you had Alienware build you a big pink penis, then you'd best go find a dude to lay some cable for you <img src="/~stretch/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />. You wouldn't want to mess with a router and it'll never be that secure while being gameable.
