the best car audio manufacturer? im lookin to put a good sound system in my truck and im not too well versed on all that stuff, so any help would be appreciated

it depends on your price..goto someplace where you can test the equipment. IMO Best Buy is the best place to go (around here atleast)
I dropped 800$ for 4 good speakers, a good amp, and two shitty subs. Sounds pretty dope, I need to get better subs, but I don't think you're going to be like p diddy and have 1651654 subs in your car. So go test it out, I'm sure you don't need top of the line. Its like a computer. A weak computer can still run outlook, you don't need a top of the line pc to surf the web and read email.

I'm not sure about speakers but your deck should be Alpine if you want the highest quality.

Deck : Alpine or Eclipse, both top of the line
Subs : JL or Alpine
Amp : Precison Power (PPI) used to be really good, dunno if they still are, JL is good also
Speakers : MB Quartz are good, or Alpine, or JL
Just my opinions tho. I used to work for the Good Guys, they sell all the high end expensive shit that best buy doesnt carry, and the techs there always had good things to say about those brands as well.
In my truck i have an alpine deck, JL sub, MB Quartz speakers and a PPI 6 channel amp to power the sub and all speakers. ive had the same setup for almost 6 years now, the only problem ive had was a blown sub cuz i played it too loud. Not bad for 6 years i think.
you pretty much cant go wrong with alpine or JL audio for any component in my opinion.

I have 3 kove 10's in my car, they were kind of $$$$$ but I feel it was worth the money. I have a sony deck, sony for the win as far as decks go.
