I use sprint PCS, haven't had a problem yet. I also get a discounted amount.
Sprint will never give you that money back, because they never give deposits back in cash. If you are a customer for 11 months and ask for it back, they will apply it towards your next 2-3 bills. However, you will never see the cash.
