Well I bought a new sound card today... (soundblaster audigy gamer)

<br>mmm when I put it in my PCI slot, my computer turns on but it doesn't boot up, there is no "beeping sound", the fan is going.. but I get no video and it doesn't actually boot up, it just turns on.

<br>I have a soyo dragon lite kt 333... but I can't figure out wtf the problem is..

<br>I flashed my bios, and I took the battery out of my mobo for a bit.. still didn't help, any ideas?<br><br>

he has a fry's spl comp prolly, 1 pci slot OH NOES!!#$! ahha.

I already tried all the other pci slots, and yes I have onboard 4CH audio, I tried disabling it in bios, and the card still wouldn't work.<br><br>

How many watts?<br><br>

I had the same exact problem when I installed my card maj. Disable the onboard sound in windows from control panel or delete the drivers and don't reinstall them from reboot.

<br>I got it taken care of, but I think its just my shitty motherboard rejected the card.

<br>The card worked on other pc's, but the same type of card (different one of course.. just same type) didn't work...
<br>So basically, my problem was the sound card did not wanna work with my motherboard =[<br><br>
