Hmm..looks like I'll check into EQ2 then.
And I don't think I'll pick up SWG's, the movies are enough for me, lol...

Yeah, I can't wait for HL2 and Doom 3, have to update my computer first though. smirk Team Fortress will be fun, hopefully. Counter-Strike on XBox? I've said it before and I'll say it again, you can't play an FPS w/a controller, must have a keyboard and mouse (dunno if they have those for xbox?). And I am too lazy to go buy an XBox sense I am happy with my PS2 laugh

bah..now i have to worry about upgrading my computer.

r0ke

Going to get a new comp this year sometime before EQ2 comes out, probably right around the time Half Life 2 comes out. Next year I'll have to upgrade this comp so that I can 2-box Worlds of Warcraft, hehe =p

Controller definitely sucks on FPS (for consoles), but you get used to it. There's no mouse for xbox yet, but they released an adapter to hook up USB Keyboards to the xbox, so maybe one will come out soon (though I doubt games will support it).

Check out .hack infection and mutation for PS2, they might be something you'd enjoy (MMORPG feel, but not online). Play infection first if you do, as mutation is a continuation of it. Xenosaga and Kingdom Hearts are the two best RPGs on PS2 in my opinion, though I'm sure you've played them.

Actually I haven't tried Xenosaga or Kingdom Hearts yet. I did play Xenogears for PS1 though, was a fun game. I heard Xenosaga had like 80+ hours to the game. I don't think I have that much time to devote to a console game yet, maybe in my teen years I'd beat it with my friends over a weekend --OKAY THAT DIDN'T COME OUT RIGHT, rofl. Have you played Suikoden 3 for PS2? I don't even know if it's out yet, I loved that series on PS1. I kinda fell out of console gaming when I got my first car, but now I am getting back into it sense I seem to be having lots of spare time.

But yeah, I'll check out those games you listed.

r0ke

Graphics are the shit and it has a pretty bad ass pvp system with castles to protect and what not. i think its more like the factions system in UO but with a point, mixed with Shadowbane building cities model. They will have north america servers to. Im looking forward to that.

suikoden 3 is out, can't find it around here lately, but it just dropped to 29.99 new, so it should be easy to find again. didn't play it much, but it was good from what i saw of it.

xenosaga is actually only about 30 hours. 80+ possibly if you do all the side quests + get lost quite a bit heh. all of the reading that you had to do in xenogears is gone, so that's a big plus. but it really isn't a sequel or prequel to xenogears, they're completely different now.

kingdom hearts is awesome. all of the worlds were done really well, and the detail was exactly in line w/ the movies. had a lot of fun with it, hopefully the second one is still coming out.

Planetside rocks. I was in beta and I now pay to play. Like mentioned, it is like tribes only much bigger. I have been in battles to take a compond, that had well over 200 people involved, lasting a few hours. As you go up in rank, you can choose different weapons and armor, wehicles, etc. Very cool game. If you decide to try it, hit the east coast server (emerald, I believe) and join the VS. (the symbol that looks like a klingon symbol). I'll hook you up with my outfit (guild).
