Ok, you want to be able to type on and control both comps with one keyboard and mouse, but still have a view of both screens, and sound from both on one set of speakers.

Possible Solution:

-Plug keyboard/mouse into KVM switch, leaving your monitor plugged into your main comp (instead of the monitor input of the KVM switch). Bad news on your mouse though, since I know we have the same one. When plugged into the KVM switch, it sees it as a standard 5 button mouse, and doesn't allow you to use the Logitech software with all the cool programmable buttons. Not sure if that's a Windows problem, or a weakness in the Logitech software, but it's how mine works.

-Leave monitor on comp #2 plugged into it's vid card too.

-Run the cable from mouse/keyboard outputs on kvm switch to both comps.

-Get a simple Y adapter thingy at radio shack that accepts the input from your speakers, and then put one end into comp #1, and the other into comp #2. This might require some extensions depending on how far apart your comps are.

Now, assuming your KVM switch doens't freak out since there is no monitor connected (not sure if it would or not, don't see why it would), you should now have a steady display on your monitors for each respective comp without having to switch, and you should get the sound from both of your computers in one set of speakers. The only switching you would have to do would be to type on or use the mouse on comp #2. This solution SHOULD work for ya.
