Regardless of outcome, I think it's worth crowd sourcing $10, just to see more people try it. Much less, tip your hat the grandfather of MMOs and the lineage of video games.
@Blazzen: My main concerns are on combat and how they implement PvP. You're right though, not much has been said about PvP - just the fact there will be pvp; nothing concrete on item loot.
@Obs: Not exactly... The "single player" and "Multiplayer" online modes are hosted on a dedicated server, not by your pal. World changes (e.g. house placement) made in single player online mode will show up in multiplayer online mode; both are the same persistent worlds, just in parallel to allow for single and multi. Players can also bounce between PvP and non PvP modes via a "slider".
