Where can I get some DAoC kool-aid? That game was one of the most laggy, imbalanced games I've ever played..
One healer could insta-mez/stun upwards of 15 people. I could CC two full groups of enemy, and keep them CC'd, for several minutes while we killed them one by one. Awesome game mechanic. Even when they added diminishing timers, it still fucking sucked.
Hunter class... could hit squishes for 25%-40% of their life, at ranged, while in stealth. GG.
Spirit masters... two or three of these guys at a choke point could AoE down a 30 man army. You thought GW2 was bad with thieves abusing stealth to prevent caps was bad?
And jesus, the lag. You would simply freeze for 30+ seconds at time, and 3/4 of your army would be dead. Haha. I still remember freeze framing in some of the first big sieges on the server and finally loading with just piles of bodies around me.
I had fun playing the game when it was out, but when people hold it out as a shining example of PvP, I think they're looking backwards with rose colored glasses.
