Except from the AP article:

According to Jed Young, a spokesman for the school, the shooting began with an altercation "involving two individuals" shortly before 12:30 p.m. local time. Two people were shot in the crossfire, the spokesman said. The extent of their injuries were not immediately known. According to Houston's ABC affiliate, both of the victims—one student and one employee—have multiple gun shot wounds and are in serious condition. Both victims were conscious when they arrived at the hospital.
One of the suspected shooters was shot and taken into custody, while a second shooter fled the campus, the spokesman said. The Harris County Sheriff's Office said the situation remains "ongoing," but confirmed that a "person of interest" was detained and is in custody.
According to CNN, a fourth victim suffered a heart attack during the incident.
It's unclear if the suspected shooters were students at the school. Initial reports suggested the shooting may have escalated after a heated argument between them.

Some people will blame the guns. But the guns aren't to blame. Even without the guns, these people could have randomly had hammers in their possession, or knives, or brass knuckles. And hammers, knives, and brass knuckles are just as likely to potentially kill innocent bystanders as handguns and rifles any day of the week.

The real criminals are the liberals though. Those motherfuckers have so watered down the gun-rights laws in Texas that no one on this campus had access to the weaponry needed to stop this situation. If that employee and that student had AK-47s and sniper rifles, fucking game over. Instead of two people spraying bullets, we would have had four people shooting every direction. And that ladies and gentlemen, is how you prevent innocent bystanders from getting shot.

They almost passed it in 2011, but "it was killed at the last minute, primarily because of strong opposition from influential college presidents."

http://www.examiner.com/article/texas-school-district-will-allow-teachers-to-carry-guns

"Texas' Concealed Handgun Law bans guns in schools unless the district has regulations allowing them."

Right now two school districts already allow teachers with concealed carry.

So You can carry at an ISD with elementary kids if the district wants to allow it, but you can't carry on a college campus. Pretty dumb huh? I will say that I expect that to change. Even in light of this shooting. I know a lot of people in Texas want it, and it has been close for years now. I have a lot of faith in Texas and Oklahoma. I don't believe they will cave to any anti gun legislation.

I love Collin county. I spend a lot of time in Mckinney.

In Oklahoma you can carry on any college campus provided:

"property authorized for possession or use of handguns by college, university, or technology center school policy; or by the written consent of the college or university president or technology center school administrator, provided the written consent is carried with the handgun and the valid concealed handgun license while on college, university, or technology center school property."

I have several employees that were on campus at the time. It was supposedly drug related and one was not a student.
