Sonya]Those motherfuckers have so watered down the gun-rights laws in Texas that no one on this campus had access to the weaponry needed to stop this situation.
http://amarillo.com/news/local-news/2013...andguns-collegeThey almost passed it in 2011, but "it was killed at the last minute, primarily because of strong opposition from influential college presidents."
http://www.examiner.com/article/texas-school-district-will-allow-teachers-to-carry-guns "Texas' Concealed Handgun Law bans guns in schools unless the district has regulations allowing them."
Right now two school districts already allow teachers with concealed carry.
So You can carry at an ISD with elementary kids if the district wants to allow it, but you can't carry on a college campus. Pretty dumb huh? I will say that I expect that to change. Even in light of this shooting. I know a lot of people in Texas want it, and it has been close for years now. I have a lot of faith in Texas and Oklahoma. I don't believe they will cave to any anti gun legislation.

In Oklahoma you can carry on any college campus provided:
"property authorized for possession or use of handguns by college, university, or technology center school policy; or by the written consent of the college or university president or technology center school administrator, provided the written consent is carried with the handgun and the valid concealed handgun license while on college, university, or technology center school property."
