So all my services shit the bed today at 2pm, numerous calls later i find out that they cant send a tech out until the 28th, and i fucking have like 12 people coming over tommorrow.. Still calling and shit, anyone know if they have 365 in home tech support? And anyone know a better ISP for LA county? These cocksuckers better pull through tonight or tommorrow morning......

Find another provider. AT&T is shit, and always will be. You can have a dead DSLAM, and they'll charge you to come out and check their own equipment. Even then, they won't show up for a couple days, depending on if you set an appointment.

I thought FIOS was mainly east coast. Think west is mainly Turner/Roadrunner, and Comcast.

Just submit the trouble ticket as "trouble on the line" then call the central office and ask them if they got the trouble ticket/If they say yes demand you get someone "RIGHT FUCKING NOW". ASI will get someone out there quick if you work it right. The ATT techs get more money for working an internet related call(at least they did when I worked as one) so they will try to get to those ASAP.

Yeah, and they will try to charge you for coming out now. Ever since AT&T took over the Bells, this sort of thing has been happening a lot. I ended up dropping them, because they were going to charge me for them to come out, even though it was their equipment that went to shit. Of course, they tried to charge several people in the neighborhood to come out, and check their lines. Once they fixed their hardware, they made no attempt to apologize, or refund money to people they charged for coming out, when it was a problem with their equipment. I'm hearing the same stories from old Pacbell, Southwestern Bell, South Bell, and Ameritech customers; who are now dealing with AT&T.
