You are going to get raped if you try to play with a control vs a untrained monkey with a mouse and keyboard.

As for the video.....sigh.

Looks like CoD but with some minor changed.

Jets that move at 30 mph

Jets that can be tracked by a tanks turret

Shoot the red triangles

Lets not even aim down the site, lets use crosshairs to aim.

Only one gif can work after seeing the trailer to this game, it honestly looks horrible to me and I fear for the future of FPS's.

Enlighten me, because I'm pretty new to using controller for pc FPS's. Why would you get raped using a controller? What's so bad about it?

Unless the controller has a high speed sensitivity that you can instantly whip around like a mouse could, you will get raped day in and day out, period. If you haven't ever played in anything competitively with an fps shooter ( q3 or cs ) then you might not understand the gravity of how much more accurate/precise a kb+ mouse is compared to a controller. I would highly suggest getting used to kb+mouse for fps games on a pc.

Ever wish you could play Gears of War for Xbox 360 against someone who owned the PC version, or vice versa? Microsoft reportedly did too, but might’ve killed the concept of PC vs. Xbox 360 gaming because console controls just aren’t accurate enough.

That’s the rumor coming from Rahul Sood, the founder of Voodoo PC and chief technical officer of HP’s gaming business. He cites “reliable sources” who say Microsoft was working on a way for PC gamers and Xbox 360 gamers to play together, but problems arose during testing. Mediocre PC gamers were able to wipe the floor with even the best console players, because the PC’s mouse-and-keyboard combination was so precise.

Sood doesn’t say definitively that Microsoft killed the project because of the accuracy issue, but he lays heavy blame on Microsoft for not seeing the project through. The rest of his blog post is a ramble on the decline of PC gaming, the threat from Apple and a strange plug for WebOS game development (“and while it may take time for new devices to start showing up, you can rest assured that the wait will be worth it”).

If Microsoft was working on a way to connect Xbox 360 and PC gamers, control differences seem like a petty reason to ax the project. Why not require PC gamers to use an Xbox 360 controller in order to dive in with the console crowd? Or limit connected play to cooperative games such as Borderlands, instead of competitive ones in which the PC gamer has the advantage?

I hope Microsoft revisits (or visits) the issue some day, especially with Windows Phone 7 presenting its own opportunities for gaming. If Microsoft really wants to unify the PC, television and phone, there needs to be a way for gamers to interact across all three platforms.

Seems pretty simple...make a keyboard and mouse for X-box.

X-Box Gamer: "FUCK, I keep getting owned by PC gamers with keyboards and mouse"

X-Box Gamer: "Gonna have to go buy a keyboard and mouse to compete."

Microsoft: "Profit!"

To all you virgins, thanks for nothing.

But that would cut down on the DLC that they could profit from, they would then complain that PC players get DLC's for free and they have to pay.

I used to use xim360 with my Xbox. It was nice using mouse + kb and playing some cod4/mw2 for awhile. Some dudes are really good with the controller, no doubt.

Have you ever tried plugging a mouse into the USB port of an xbox? It doesn't work.

You have to buy special emulation software\hardware that costs about $150 and it still is EMULATING mouse movement using a stick. So you can never get precise movement. Even the most expensive emulation hardware doesn't feel like a mouse. It feels like you are navigating a controller via mouse. It's terrible.
