I had a couple Eyegasams watching it. Story was alright, was predictable as most movies now days but it was not horrid, not like the Transformers movies. The 3D blew me away, sure as hell this will change movies and the way you experience it from now on.

I do suggest, if you have not seen it yet, sit at least 8-10 rows back. If you have the chance, see it in IMAX for the best experience.

ya, great movie. Tons of eye candy...though I did sit in the 4th row from the front since I got there late, sure I missed something.

I had no idea the 3D could be so awesome. I was already amazed within the first few scenes. The plot was pretty cool too. My experience may have been affected by the 8 ounce flask of Bacardi 151 I mixed into my soda wink

Saw it in Imax on Friday (was my 1st 'modern' 3D movie), I was shocked at how awesome it was. Fucking sweet movie, where did 2hours40min go so fast? 2 thumbs up for sure.

I saw Beowulf in 3D and they used the 3D just to stick stuff right at your nose every now and then - it was really jarring. Avatar did a good job of avoiding that.

Avatar is definitely one you have to see at an IMAX. If it wasn't for the 3D, it would only be another pretty good but predictable movie, but with the 3D its awesome.
