Im planning on building a 2nd comp for my bro so we can play DF together .

Any suggestions?

I'll post my build when I decide what its going to be .

Ars Technica usually has good suggestions for computer builds. Looks for Ars Technica Hot Rod on google.

I'm using a Phenom II X4 940 build with 2 ATI 4870s in Xfire. I don't think I spent more than $1200, and in huge zergs, my FPS stays around 40FPS. Just remember that the CPU plays a huge part in this game.

I posted on geekstogo.com and they pretty much made 2 builds for me. 1 with a quad core. and 1 with the new i7 but the problem for me is the i7 is 2.66ghz and the quad is 3.0

Mybe I'm putting to much emphisis on clock speed but I feel like 2.66 is just such a low number.

The i7 does scale better according to what i read in wiki but I dont even really know what scale means lol. Plus the triple channel thing is supposdly better too .
