i was at 1625 for long enough to give it a solid chance..and went all the way up to where i'm at now (each time i increased the dpi, gave it ample trial/error time). it's probably not perfection, but even if it's off a little bit it's 100% comfortable to me...any of the adjustments i make now are in game sensitivity adjusting, and if that carried over to MS paint i'm sure the lines would not be choppy.
if you're getting a high quality mouse, i think it's going to be personal preference over anything else. do you like light, speed, how your hand conforms to it, button locations, etc. after that, i would imagine as long as the interface provides the same shit you can get one mouse just as tuned as another.
