Playing with 4k dpi is usually going to be really bad.

sabbath knows this from experience. just like i'm sure everyone else does who has written similar things after reading something somebody else wrote (just giving you shit don't get all emo on me).

i have a 4k dpi mouse and it works great for me. just got control panel mouse settings exactly mid - default, and the sens adjustable in the razer gui all the way lowered..and play FPS's with in-game sens adjusted anywhere from 1.3 to 2.2 depending on the game - and it's perfect for my style. i use quick sharp movements, so getting the mouse perfectly smooth didn't do what i wanted it to do. it just left me unable to do a 180 with a flick of the wrist and that doesn't work for me. i've tried dpi ranging from 1600-4000, and i'm right at 3450; my lines/circles are still not choppy in ms paint.

I thought you were down around 2400. I was saying that based on my experience doing this myself and what you and others have told me when tuning dpi in mspaint. It makes sense to me thought that your surface might be a determining factor here to. I use a crappy mousepad atm.

i was at 1625 for long enough to give it a solid chance..and went all the way up to where i'm at now (each time i increased the dpi, gave it ample trial/error time). it's probably not perfection, but even if it's off a little bit it's 100% comfortable to me...any of the adjustments i make now are in game sensitivity adjusting, and if that carried over to MS paint i'm sure the lines would not be choppy.

if you're getting a high quality mouse, i think it's going to be personal preference over anything else. do you like light, speed, how your hand conforms to it, button locations, etc. after that, i would imagine as long as the interface provides the same shit you can get one mouse just as tuned as another.

Burns, you fag. We're gonna have to do some runs again like in sb.

I agree with Dhal, when you buy one of these top shelf gaming mice, it really gets down to personal preference. I think end results are going to be the same.

I still have the windows settings in the middle, ripped that stuff from the registry have the USB port slightly overclocked, I am letting the difference (between fucked up settings and a 17$ mouse) sink in with FPS games so that I can fine-tune it when this fucking game finally comes out.
