What in the world are you talking about? Since when is payroll a deduction? Its called a cost Asp.

Let me give everyone here a fucking clue...a deduction or "write off" as you people put it does not pay you back what was spent. You don't get 100% back. You can write off...depending on the expense....up to 80% of certain business expenses....like meals with clients.

Now do the math. If I spend $1000 with a client and I can "write off" 80% do I actually get $800 back from the Government? FUCK NO YOU DON"T. You reduce your taxable income by $800. So if my company makes a $250,000 pre-tax profit and I can reduce that taxable number by $800 what does that get me back?

$250,000 x ( using Stretch's 35% because its an even number )= $87,500.

$249,200 x 35% =$87,220.

$87,500 -$87,220 = $280

This is the very very basics ppl. If I ever hear your dumb mother fuckers arguing write offs and deductions again I am gonna come to your houses and kill you with a sledge hammer because your a waste of oxygen.

Let's call payroll a "cost" so you don't get a brain clod or something. This "cost" is deducted from your gross income. Which means- you don't pay capital gain or income tax on it. Your payroll expenses (or cost) will not increase under Obama, which was my point.

Spending money on lunch "with clients". Most people pay for lunch with ANYONE out of their post tax paycheck. They get shit back. You have to eat anyway, don't you? Not only do you get tax credit for eating, unlike people on a paycheck but you also get to abuse it and most business owners do- because you can pretty much call a client anyone and no one is going to check your meals anyway. If you are claiming that you don't benefit from write-offs compared to ordinary people, you are either ignorant or a liar.

This is the most uneducated group of sentences I have ever heard from you.

Why do you think wealthy should pay a higher share than anyone else?

Does it not seemed fundamentally flawed that the more you make the more you are going to have to pay out of your pocket? When you could just do nothing, stay in a mediocre job, never strive for more, and be taken care of? That does not resonate anywhere with you?

Couldnt have said it better....

It is a priviledge to have a large income and be in a higher tax bracket, not a punishment.

But how can you argue with this logic Khell?

obviously....

I took 8 years to graduate college because my parents combined income was so so below the national average i had to pay my own way through school......i worked 50 hour weeks (1 at a news shop and another at an unpaid intership for an investment bank) and went to school 1/2 to 3/4 time and received a dual major degree in Finance and Management with an MIS minor.

I have worked my way up the corporate ladder to be making a 6-figure income after starting a job that paid less than $28k a year...

you are right Couls, it is a priveledge to be in this class, cause hard work didnt get me here obviously...

do i have a problem with class seperation? ....to quote the imfamous Judge Smails...."the world needs ditch diggers too Danny...."

lol

Good for you but don't act for a moment class seperation would cease to exist or that you would be as poor as a ditchdigger. Nope, you will still be quite rich.

i agree, but there is also a HUGE fucking difference between a handout/distribution of wealth and an appropriate tax structure...

i live in Minnesota and pay out the fucking nose in taxes...but you know what? we have great schools, great roads, a new baseball stadium, awesome parks and lake, etc. etc. etc...

so when some guy says he is going to "make it fair for the working class by redstirbuting wealth"....? its a fucking joke...

i have the same attitude when watching Federal earmarks and carve outs go to states like Florida and Alaska who dont have a single fucking state income tax....

No kidding...I need to move there. Maybe I will buy a small home there and just pay Threat to keep it up while living there for free and forward my mail to my secondary residence in CA. This will establish myself as a resident of Florida after 6 months and I will save about 50k a year.

Khell...look into this for me would you? Great way for me to buy some cheap real estate in a down market and pay for it with what was normally the state of California's tax dollars.

When my friends dad sold his business for billions, he moved to Florida first, came back a couple years later. Always figured it was for tax reasons, though I never directly asked him.

easy...

1) Divorce your wife on the DL
2) have her use the new federal home ownership assistance program to get a $7500 loan to use as a downpayment on a house
2) find that house
3) have her go to Countrywide's federal assistance programs that are designed to get single, unwed, economically disadvantaged mothers into houses
4) get home depot and lowes account to update and remodel it
5) talk to Myssabar to find an appraiser who will play ball
6) refinance
7) throw the keys in the mailbox
8) declare bankruptcy
9) remarry her in the next calendary year
10) repay the government 7500
