Clinton had nothing to do with it. My hard work did the trick and a government that stayed out of the way. As I said we shall see what kind of president he'll be. I'll lay odds that he never produces the "middle class" tax cut without it being a part of an omnibus bill that includes pulling troops or some other trick that we know will get fillibustered. The one thing certain is that we shall see. The silver lining for me is that maybe this will slap the Republicans into being what they were originally elected to be. Fiscally conservative. The most intellegent thing I heard last night was that the GOP lost credibility due to there own spending craziness and this should open the doors for a new crop of conservatives not Republicans to redirect the country. The Dems won't be able to blame bush any more.

Couls, I am not going to try to diminish what you do for your employees or how hard you work. I don't know enough about it. However, you need to look at the bigger picture here. Your products, like most of the products in this highly industrialized country are ultimately destined for consumption by the general population. By people like Stretch. The economy is very dependent on mass consumption and government spending. At this point it would be naive to think that we could fix the deficit and other problems inherited by Bush's administration without higher taxes. But if the small guy gets taxed more, it will decrease his buying power, resulting in less mass consumption, less demand for mass products (including yours) and bad economy. If the $250k+ households get taxed, the demand for higher end items(expensive cars, boats, jewelry) will be less but it won't affect the economy nearly as bad. Investments in your business are tax deductible, including creating new jobs, materials etc. but also owning a business has it's nice tax advantages if you know how to use those(you already have advantage there over the guy with a regular job). What we are talking about here is, the ability of the high income people to take home more money, buy bigger houses and boats. I am not saying you don't deserve it, but it's better to cut that kind of spending than the mass products.
There is no doubt that jobs now days don't earn as much as in earlier decades. Americans work longer hours and for less while productivity has sky-rocketed. Businesses have brought in higher profits but that didn't translate to higher salaries. I have seen plenty of business owners who would pay $1/hour for hard work, if it was legal and feel great about themselves. Maybe even call lazy anyone who would rather not work at all than barely survive. The coin has different sides but a democracy is about majority ruling. The rich are a minority. The more they take away from people by paying them less, the more the majority will take back through their voting power.
What Obama is saying, the distribution of wealth should be fair for the majority of the people. The majority of this country agrees with him. McCain is saying to leave it to businesses to help people by creating jobs and paying more. Most people don't trust businesses because they have shown to be too greedy and selfish. They trust the government to be fairer.

How about you and I switch jobs for a month. I would love to see you operate in a world of 12 hour work days where your responsible for the jobs of 310 employees and there families.
I guarantee your involvement would destroy my business and the jobs I created the last 17 years. Flip the coin with me working your job you would be better off then what you would create in the next ten years.
Why? Because your fucking lazy, you have no expertise that makes you anything more than a thirty something POS with your hand out thinking your owed something by the tax dollars people like me create. Your existance as an American pisses me off. There are a lot of things wrong in the USA but the main one is jackasses like yourself.
just fire your employees December 31'st and rehire them the first of the year. Apparently Obama will give a 3000 dollar tax credit per person hired in 2009/10
quick easy way to get 1 mil in credit.

Bottom line...let the Govt do the work for me, since I can jsut vote for Obama rather then work for it.
You don't get rich overnight. You bust your ass for 20 plus years like I have. That's 20 years after going to school. Why does everyone think they are entitled to get it NOW? Its a hands out mentality that is destroying America.
Basically I think your wrong.

Unlike your programmed mind Stretch I am an independent thinker. You arguing tax code and the world of business with someone who actually pays taxes rather then leeches off of them is like a fag trying to teach me to eat pussy.
