You Imbecile, its not about testing some theory - this thing is going to answer a shitload of questions about the universe that have plagued scientists for decades. This will potentially lead to new fields of mathematics, science, and eventually all kinds of amazing new technology - like faster than light travel. Which could then lead to discovery of intelligent alien life. Which could then lead to anal probing.
