Are you all planning to play Warhammer? Looks promising, we'll see.
Side note: How is Shadowbane? Anyone LoD still play there? I'll never forget the epic battles when we dominated the damn dwarves on our ice planet.

Few of us are in beta. Seems like a WoW clone with a little diff gameplay imo.

Surely it's better than this. DAOC was a pretty decent pvp game, albeit a bit carebearish I know, but it wasn't bad. What game is LoD playing mostly at the moment?

Travian Online Super Browser game, CoD4, and UO Divinity and soon SB. Oh and some actually still play WoW.

Excellent to hear Trance. Installing Shadowbane currently, are there shards here like old days or is the player base so shallow they only need 1? Where is LoD rolling?

We are waiting on the 2 new servers that will replace all the current. Maybe a couple weeks out (just like darkfall!) so we cannot tell you which one yet.

Its like a much improved WoW... but still a WoW clone type game.
The PvP system is better(best items are from PvP and NOT PvE) but the PvP itself sucks ass so far. You have like 12 skills/spells that automaticaly rank up as you level and the shit is boring as hell to fight. Its like PvP for dummies, spam your 3 attacks in combo style and rinse repeat. No out-thinking your opponent or using strategy, just boring stuff.
Hopefully they spend a whole lot more time on the PvP aspects before the next stage.

I kinda found this too be a contradiction. WoW is all based on counter moves. What counters this class which moves ect. Silence vs casters, fear vs melee, all that stuff that most of you who quit WoW never really saw how good it can be...BUT Yes battlegrounds is lame. Even more lame now than ever. Arena is ok, but its a 50/50 that you get a team that is either the anti of your team (casters vs melee) or a team that is just overgeared for their rank system (a super geared team fighting in a noob ranking just for fun).
Its all crap anymore anyway. Play games you enjoy, because you wont find another pvp game because we are a dead breed. Money > Pvpers.

That was my whole point dirty, WAR doesnt even have near the good PvP that wow did. WoW actually had a solid pvp system with class vs class, doing counter moves, using your brain here and there. It isnt as good as like Shadowbane or Fury but it wasnt too bad. War is total ass in comparison to wow's action, and thats a sad statement.

oh ok. this is a game that a few friends and my roommates were interested. i saw when this statement isnt true in WoW anymore. PvE gear is equal to PvP gear with only a few modifications (PvE gear doesnt have resiliance, less stam ect). but in the next patch they're making it so you can get pvp gear by pve'ing. Either way, WoW and im sure WAR is all just a grind. I never have logged into WoW wanting to pvp, its always to just get more honor to get the next upgrade. Which is why its stupid as hell. I still enjoy wow, but its definatly not for the pvp of it.
