I just heard that Stern is going off the air by 2006 and plans to do a sattelite only show with Sirrus or something from then on... which isnt regulated by the fcc. Its a pay service tho. Would you guys pay to stay a fan of him?

satellite radio will have evolved and more than likely will become free in one way or another, or it will be extremely cheap. Besides I'm planning on getting XM next year sometime...

I'll probably get Sirius so I could listen to him + i am getting really sick of all these 5+ minute long commercial breaks that the radio stations do here in Sac, and they all seem to be having commericals on at once. That and I am no longer enjoying the music they play on the radio anymore <img src="/~stretch/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

yeah, Theres a umbrella company that runs most radio stations in major areas. So i guess they time their commercials to coincide with each other.

Clear Channel Communications is a big one. But they're not too bad on what radio hosts say or commercial breaks.
However, I wouldn't pay to listen to Stern. I wouldn't listen to him for free. Of course, when I first got a taste of him was that horrible movie of his. I was glad when his baby died. More chlorine in the gene pool.
