I read some stuff a while back that suggested the Iranians were working with the DPRK cooperatively on nuclear weapons. Herein lies the problem. It's suggested that the DPRK already has nuclear weapons, and if so it wouldn't be so far off to say that if the DPRK has nukes, then there is a high probability that Iran has them as well. With that in mind, if Israel were to bomb the reactor (which they will if we don't) then you've got a nuclear exchange over there. Israel bombs reactors, Iran counters with nuclear weapons if they have them, Israel completely saturates Iran, other arab states go to war with Israel, Israel saturates them as well. In short, any attack on the Iranian reactors has a fairly high probability of initiating a 'less than conventional' conflict. As for whether there is anything crazy going on at the reactors.... well hell, even el Baradei has said that something doesn't add up.

I totally agree with you on leaving them, because they would fuck themselves over. In IRan these days the youth have demonstrations because they actually like the US, and America's way of life, they are sick and tired of the religious leaders there. The youths that protest are college educated, mostly abroad. It would be crazy if those guys were forced to fight us as well. Sometimes nations/leaders become big headed and put other people's lives in jeopardy for their own pride. <img src="/~stretch/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

Well, to be totally honest let's compare two different times in world history. When Germany was taken hold of it was dealt in a "total war" scenario, meaning civilians are fair game (shit you not that is what it means). In Iraq we are doing almost a PR war, we go "Oh shit we killed some civs" If the shit were to hit the fan I guarantee we'd blow those fuckers out of the water. Total war is definitely in favor of the US and other developed nations.
