So the U.S.A. isnt going to be represented in the olympics with a baseball team. Thats fine because the players we throw out there for baseball are normally just baseball castoffs. Basketball, is an entirely different story however.
In the 2002 World Games the U.S mens basketball finished 6th. 6th!!!!!! I said thats a fluke they were just lazy and didnt care because it wasnt the real olympics. Today U.S.A. vs Team Italia. Italy is prob the 4th best Europeon team. Italy routed the U.S today by 20 in the olympic trials.
In the movie White Men Cant Jump Woody Harrelson says, "A black man would rather look good and lose then look bad and win." Now I have always held that to some level of truth until today. Today after watching the smaller less athletic Italian team just pick the stunned U.S. team apart with tremendous shooting and fundamental play I learned this to be a truth. Italians shooting, passing, hustling, penetrating, playing team basketball. Americans drive to the rim and try and be a hero, playing lazy defense, turnovers, being out boarded, looking like the NYC streets was the only place they belong to play. Completely outclassed.
I think it is time to let these million dollar pre-madonnas keep their summers off. Let them buy their Escalades with 24" blades. Their bling-bling. Their wacky weed. Their white bitches etc etc etc. The reason is it is time to have some people play that care about this country. Not these clowns going in and spitting in the faces of every hard working American by not playing a game that we invented the way it is meant to be played and embarrassing us all. These people dont even understand the meaning of patriotism and nationalism and it makes me sick.
I know I personally will invest no more time in rooting for Team USA basketball in these olympics after that display today. Thank you Team USA for letting your country down and freeing up some more of my time. I dunno maybe that shit looks good in the ghetto.

I watched the first half then turned the tv off. Not to say that Carmello or Lebron suck..but most of the USA team is inexperienced. If we played with our best (including Shaq) I think we would dominate them. Those players decided not to go so Brown was forced to select these players..Team USA won't win shit in international basketball because none of them have a fucking clue how to react to zone defense. Notice Italy played zone defense and USA didn't. Our team sucks.

Baseball is USA, Japan, Cuba, and a few other carribean islands.
Basketball is USA, Russia and some others.
Just cuz the pro's are not there doesn't change anything. The olympics is an overblown pile of doo doo anyway.
They should have the athletes fight to the death with hatchets in a ring. Now thats an olympic sport i'ld watch. Or Tazer scrapping, scalpal tossing, arc welder wrestling. But no.....they give us fucking syncronized swimming, and not even in a pool full of hydrochloric acid....bah.

PS , the US will still win a medal. Just not sure if it will be the gold, but over 50% chance it is gold. USA > ALL .

Hey buddy...during the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, the US won the gold medal in baseball.
Furthermore, the guys they send over there aren't 'castoffs.' They are brought together from AA and AAA teams across the country.
