I dunno but latly the surge of online poker has really gone up..
My question is, do you think the US government will get involved in this?
For the dumb people (Pan) online gambling is not allowed in the us. Pokerstars is located in like Costa Rica(?), Party Poker is in India.
Anyone theres so many dam americans who play online poker for a living. Thus, giving up there job. When i played on poker stars. There was a guy who played in almost every .25/.50 nl holdem games. I asked how much he makes in a day he said $1741 has been his average for the last 2 weeks.
Anyway im thinking that the government can get involved. But then im thinking they cant because all these companys are not in the us but the majority of there customers are.

I can see playing online for a living, but if you get to caught up you could get fucked over if you don't watch it.

If the government was smart they'd regulate the gambling industry in more states then Nevada and Atlanta, that way they could profit off of the online gambling boom. Furthermore the government should regulate Marijuana also so they can start making money on the crop instead of spending money to prosecute ppl who posses it.

lol...is this guy who is playing .25/.5 playing 20 hours a day, getting no bad beats, getting into a mass amount of large pots with the nuts? $1741 a day on avg @ .25/.5 is BS. Maybe $100-$400 on a GOOD day, but definatley not on avg.
I play .5/1 and on avg I make $100-$300 on a good day. $400-$600 on a VERY good day, but those are slim occurances. And thats playing 5 tables for 5-8hrs.

im usually not a bitch, but Atlanta is not a state. Georgia. Anyways, they could simply get around all of the regulations by hosting the poker games in countries other then the United States. You still technically have to report your earnings from gambling to the government. Not like anyone does.... so they theoretically gain some income from that

It's not possible to make $1700 dollars a day playing 25/50 cent NL
Max buyin is $200 dollars, professionals win 1 large pot per hour without risking their stack. So he wins 100 dollars an hour.
So he plays for 17 hours straight a day? Yeah, you could win more by multiple tables, but lets be serious.
I tried playing poker instead of working for a week. 2/4 limit. I ended up making about $89 dollars a day, after the rake. That's not worth my time, I can work my regular jobs and get more.
You can't make 1700 a day unless you are an amazing high limit player. When you are an amazing high limit player, you are playing against even better high limit players. People who have been doing it their whole life.
