Isn't anyone scared that we are, one day, simply going to run out. Shouldn't the government say something like, "by the year 2020 all US cars need to be electric" perhaps that?s to 1984'ish or whatever.
All I know is each year things seem to get hotter, and I don't think we have an infinite supply of oil. We should prob do something about it.
But what about our sport cars?!?!?
I was watching a show where they had made an electric sports car, 800lbs of the batteries laptops use, it went from 0-60 in 2.8 sec. Nice, and could be manufactured for less then 20k, looked sweet too, and w/ only 1 gear, and very few moving parts to break, it could go for 5.5 hours with out being recharged, which is long enough for most people, and most some road trips, recharge time was 3hrs though.
I'm not a huge earth nut, but I keep seeing more animals dying off, more forests disappearing, and shit like that, sometimes it worries me. What am I doing about it? Nothing really, try to watch my water usage and I drive a 4 banger.

What to do about? Dont have kids and make them go through the hell hole this world is going to become. We will be dead before that all happens hopefully. Maybe not if bush get another term smirk
But I live in Iowa and our summer's keep getting hotter and hotter and hotter. It's rather annoying. Didn't someone post an article about oil not to long ago? About how we might have alot more then we thought or something?

Infact, the latter half of the 20th century scientists discovered that oil reserves seem to refill themselves. Its now noted as a renewable resource. Theoretically it comes as exhast from all the heat and pressure in the earths mantel, its not decayed dinosaurs and plants. the biological aspect of the oil comes from bacteria deep in the earths crust which asorbes in the oil

but why would they want to introduce those when oil is such a lucritive business? They will milk oil for all it's worth for 30 years or so, and then when it runs out the hydrogen, solar, or electric cars will take over.
