When coding jealousy-inducing-i-dare-you-to-code-a-better-one- trance mp3's using mod tracker, the left over scraps of coding are used to make video game tunes. The leftover code from 11 mod tracker files can be made into one mario bros-X theme song.
What is the total number of Mario theme songs that can be made after hard coding 463 mod tracker files?
BONUS QUESTION:
How many times does a person have to be told that their music is shit before reality sets in?

463*462*461*460*459*458*457*456*455*454*453 = answer assuming that the order of the scraps is irrelevant to the mario song.
Apparently a lot

I guess I've interepted the problem wrong. I took it to be something along the lines of you need X elements to create one Y. The order of the elements effect the a Y. So ABC and ACB, etc would all be unique Y's in a 3X=Y situation. This scenario would yield !X-!(X-3) possibilites. I assumed you couldnt reuse samples, but if you can then the number of possibilites would be X^3. So if you used the alphabet as your X pool, then you would have either !26-!23 possibilites or 26^3 possibilities depending on the rules.
Clarify the rules of creation for one mario soundtrack.
