The hip hop to me will be the strong point of the festival followed closely by the 3lectronic side. Eyedea is my favorite rapper atm (He's white Jobu), Slug aka Atmosphere, Aesop Rock and a shit load of more underground performances. Crystal Method, Future Sounds of London (Dudes that did Trainspotting soundtrack) Laurent Garnier (has musicians play instruments while he spins records), Sander Kleinburg, Stereo-Lab etc. If i go, I am going to beat up Radiohead fans while I nod my head to Aesop Rock and finger bang a beotch while I dance to Crystal Method on a hit of E (which I haven't done in 2 years :P)
Electronic and Hip Hop are taking over while New Rock music is completely wack in my opinion. After Brad Nowell died so did Rock music for me. <img src="/~stretch/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

Now, as far as your refrence to beating up on Radiohead fans.....make sure to bring a big fuckin stick. Better yet, ya may be safer not bringing it unless you want me to break it off in your ass! (Everything in its right place + good tab of E + lots of pot = best trip I've ever had)

Naw it's not the drugs it's the times we live in. We are basically having a repeat of the 80's right now. 90% of the bands in this decade will not make it to the next. 80's=Michael Jackson, Madonna :00's=Titneys's Spears, Justin Timberlake. 2 reasons why "new rock" sucks is because of one word "POP". Another being hip-hop, or as I like to call it hip-pop. I love how American people sterotype hip hop and electronic music. "If you like hip hop your a wannabee wigger ass bling bling gangsta nigga." Most people don't even know the difference between hip-hop and hip-pop. Same thing with Electronic, "All the people that like Techno are candy raving E popping, druggies. Techno is a specific genre of electronic music that I guarentee 95 percent of you guys have never even heard. Why? Cause you live in America and you are judges and classified by the music you listen to. Commercialized trendy music sets the styles, fashions, and whats hot and whats not. Another thing I'd like to add is that I am not against rock music or enjoy putting it down. First tape I ever bought was Appetite For Destruction G'nFkn'ROSES 4 life.

Holy fawking Rampola. Ramp I didn't mean to diss Radiohead, but one of my friends likes them, like they where The Beatles of the past. I can deal with some of there songs (idioteque) but that dude sings like a chick. If I go to the fest and see them, I'll see what my friend has been trying to hype me on for the past 2 years. I think you can't really judge or say your a die hard fan of a band until you see them live. Atmosphere fucking owns. You ever listen to Brother Ali? He plays with him sometimes in concert. Saw both those guy in SF.
