Oil crash.
I came across this site recently and I wanted to hear anyone else's opinion of it. It is a very interesting site but i'd like to hear what other people think. I know there are some of you out there that will be able to rip what is said on that site to pieces.

I'm to tired to read this shit, but here's a few things.
I can bike...we all can.
And electric cars aren?t that bad.
Nuclear power is ok....
I don?t know, covers my bases, I guess...
"(Current world population: 6 billion)"
I made a post earlier about there being to many people, a few people mentioned a disease to kill a few, perhaps this will be in it's place.
"Society begins to collapse."
This is some communist bullshit.
MR. Matt Savinar fucking owns this page, and fuck him, he's just another asshole who prob didn't get much attention when he was a kid, and now is trying to have everyone hear him out by scaring them.
Also skim through the page, all this shit is "estimated" and "polls" we all know about this shit, this is the same stuff they put on MSNBC and fox news to try to scare the shit out of us so we, "stay tuned".
We've made it this long, oil isn't going to stop us lol. <img src="/~stretch/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" />

Even the Saudis are aware of the situation. They have a saying that goes, "My father rode a camel. I drive a car. My son flies a jet airplane. His son will ride a camel."
more in depth:
The comparisons are a bit far stretched. Bacteria to humans migth work if we were simlair in thought process. There are quite a handful of people working on alternative fuel sources. As for America we might not have an up to par Armed Forces if this crash happened but we would be able to comtinue making the same amount of food since farmers would be subsidized byth egov't to get alternative fuel vehicles.
Plus for the average american we just wouldn't be able to have cool cars for awhile, and instead drive those gay ass electric cars.
And people talking about hydrogen production are just a bunch of circuit-speakers. No shit we will run out of fossil fuels, that's the reason they are a fossil fuel and not reusable. Hydrogen fuel cells have come as far as taking out any oil usage to heat the water to electric only. problems will be solved when the hurdle is seen.

It's paranoia bullshit that neglects to mention the fact that the reliance on oil is on the downslope. Or that as technology advances engines, and refinement techniques become more efficient.
The last I heard it was estimated we had 50-100 years before we'd begin to have a problem with oil supplies. Even just 50 years is a long time as far as technological advancement, giving plenty of space for alternatives such as hydrogen fuel.
Another thing he notes in there is reduced oil production. Yep, oil production is down, but not because we're running out of the shit. The OPECs want to maintain the current price of oil so they cut the production rate in order to maintain the pricing by not oversupplying.
I also love how he mentions natural gas in there, but last I checked natural gas isn't derived from oil.
